George Bull MSc
George has been in data analysis roles for over 15 years after getting interested in statistics while participating in a project that required calibration of a spectroscopic sensor. Since then much of his experience of statistics has been gained by looking at industrial process and scientific research data. Throughout his time working with data he has been exploiting the benefits of programming at first with VBA in Excel and then has developed skills in more general Windows programming using C#. He also has many years experience of using the statistical programming environment R as well as technical computing using MATLAB.
Having worked in several companies where he noticed that many people would spend large amounts of time producing the same reports or charts, George realised that automating the data analysis process could save employees significant amounts of time and allow them to concentrate on what they were employed to do rather than struggle with the details of how to manipulate data. So when the opportunity came along he set up Sharp Statistics so companies can start acting on the information contained in their data.
